The #1 mistake: removing grass before you apply. If you do, you lose the rebate. Approval must come first. Start with the checklist β†’

How it works

Three rules protect your rebate.

Apply before you touch anything

The water district must inspect your lawn while the grass is still alive and watered. If you remove grass before they approve you, you lose the rebate.

Plan for enough plants

Your new yard needs plants covering at least half the area once they are fully grown, watered by a drip system. We turn that math into a simple checklist.

Why now

Why it pays to do this now.

The rebate money comes from a yearly budget, and the rates have changed before. Today they are the highest they have ever been. A typical 2,400 square foot yard in Las Vegas pays $16,800 at the higher rate. That is often more than the landscaping work costs. And once your yard is converted, it saves water β€” and money on your water bill β€” every year after.
